More Info: Found in rich woodlands from Canada to the mountains of South Carolina, Tennessee and Missouri. A perennial with a naked stem, with a single, large fern-like leaf subtending an inflorescence of yellowish-green flowers. All parts of the plant are covered with a silvery-blue or whitish waxy bloom. The flowers six sepals are much larger & showier than the six petals.
